Autodesk University 2005

Well I got back from Orlando, Florida today - Some 5,200 people attended this year AU with 400 classes. I didn't like the fact that the classrooms where in both the Dolphin hotel & the Swan hotel.

Day 1 (Monday)

It was an action packed day of classes, the AUGI Annual meeting where the new AUGI logo was unveiled , the AutoCAD Wishlist was presented by Yoshi Honda to John Sanders of Autodesk, as well as the Beer Bust.

Here is the list.

The ability to have multiple segments from one leader. For example, when you have more than one item being called out by a single note. – B. Crouse

Wish 10 Improved Support for Dual Monitors (B. Crouse)

Day 2 (Tuesday)

At this year main stage the keynote presentations: Autodesk's Lynn Allen, Autodesk CEO Carol Bartz, Autodesk COO Carl Bass, Autodesk's Jonathan Knowles, and Dr. Thomas McCann Senior Vice President of Engineering for Walt Disney Imagineering. As well as a HUGE high definition screen at the back of the stage.

On Wednesday Night, the Disney/MGM Studios was open privately until 11PM with free food and drinks and several of the rides open such as Tower of Terror and the Rock n Roll Roller Coaster.

Day 4 (Thursday)

Next year, AU 06 will be at the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas.
